However, their love story never reaches full potential as every time they come close, someone comes between them and that leaves the audiences as frustrated as the lead pair. Kriti and Kartik’s jodi is refreshing and their chemistry is hot. The film talks about a relevant issue but touches upon it very superficially. That said, some scenes have been stretched and this film should have been trimmed more. The situations and the dialogues are hilarious and keep you entertained. The film’s story can be narrated in a single line and honestly, is not great shakes however, it’s the screenplay which saves it. His clothes are bright and loud, his character is caricaturish but he makes the most of what he has been given and totally owns it. Pankaj has played Guddu’s bhabhi’s brother Babulal and he will make you laugh so much that your cheeks would hurt. Pankaj Tripathi is the best thing about this movie. Wish the makers had developed his character more. Aparshakti Khurrana has played Guddu’s best friend Abbas and though he is fantastic, his character has just been reduced to being Guddu’s sidekick. Kriti Sanon has a great screen presence and she has also acted well. He is perfect in his role and has given a fab performance. This guy is so good looking that it’s difficult to take your eyes off him. Kartik Aaryan is outstanding as Guddu and he will make women go weak in their knees with his charm. What happens when their parents discover that they have got married without informing them, forms the rest of the plot. To escape the prying eyes of people of Mathura, they decide to stay together in Gwalior for a few days and tell their neighbours that they are a married couple. However, the big problem here is that Rashmi’s father is Sanskriti Raksha Manch’s supremo. Guddu wants to get married to Rashmi however, she wants to know him better before settling down and thus, suggests that they should get into a live-in relationship. Mathura’s local channel’s star reporter, Guddu Shukla falls in love with Rashmi, who has returned to Mathura after finishing a course in journalism. They obviously can’t beat up the actor, so they decide to name and shame innocent lovers of Mathura.
